Use the Maxio Billing Portal to give your Customers a self-service area for managing their own accounts: changing plans, canceling service, updating their payment method, or updating their contact information.

Billing Portal introduction video

Key capabilities

The Billing Portal lets your Customers self-manage their own Subscriptions instead of contacting your team directly. This hands-off approach to daily Subscription management cuts down on the emails and calls your team handles as your business grows.

As a merchant, you control which options are available to Customers by configuring the Billing Portal's settings to fit your business needs. See Related information for the full settings list.

Each merchant gets a dedicated URL unique to their Advanced Billing account. Customers can log in directly through the main link, or use a personalized URL that redirects them to their own Billing Portal page. See Related information for how that URL is formatted.

Prerequisites

Enable Billing Portal access on a Customer's Subscription before that Customer can use the portal. Merchants can invite Customers manually or automatically, so it's up to you whether to grant immediate access or invite Customers after the fact. See Related information for how invitations work.

How Billing Portal accounts are created

Once you enable Billing Portal access on a Customer's Subscription, a new Billing Portal account is created using that Customer's email address. If different Subscriptions share the same email address, they all use the same Billing Portal account.

Customer responsibilities

Synchronization between Advanced Billing and your own app or service remains your responsibility, even though the Billing Portal removes the need to build your own customer self-service tools.
